East Auckland — founded in 2005 as the South Auckland Swarm and, per the club’s own website, a four-time NZIHL champion; plays at Paradice Botany.

Christchurch — since its foundation in 2005 the club has won four regular-season titles and four playoff titles (most recently in 2014); plays at the Alpine Ice Centre.

Dunedin — founded in 2008 and also known as the Phoenix Thunder for sponsorship reasons; based at the Dunedin Ice Stadium.

Queenstown — one of the NZIHL’s founding clubs from 2005 and, per its own website, a ten-time champion; today it plays as the SkyCity Stampede at the Queenstown Ice Arena.

Auckland — founded in 2005 and based at the Paradice Avondale rink, today playing as the Pure NZ Admirals.
