Kariya in Aichi Prefecture — the Toyota Auto Body team founded in 1951 and winner of the 2008 Empress’s Cup. It previously played as Queenseis Kariya.

Katagami in Akita Prefecture — the Prestige International team founded in 2015.

Hitachinaka in Ibaraki Prefecture — the Hitachi team founded in 1980 and runner-up of the top flight in 2016. It previously played as Hitachi Rivale.

Nishio in Aichi Prefecture and Kōriyama — the Denso team founded in 1972 and winner of the 2010 Empress’s Cup.

Maebashi in Gunma Prefecture — founded in 1975 as the nine-a-side volleyball team of the Gunma Bank.

Kurobe in Toyama Prefecture — founded in 1998 and run by the city’s athletic association.

Kawasaki in Kanagawa Prefecture — the NEC team founded in 1978 and a nine-time national champion, most recently in 2023/24.

Okayama — founded in 1999, winner of the 2024 Kurowashiki tournament and twice runner-up in the top flight (2013/14, 2019/20).

Osaka — the Japan Tobacco team founded in 1956, the first women’s SV.League winner (2024/25) and a three-time V.League champion. Until 2024 it played as JT Marvelous.

Kahoku in Ishikawa Prefecture — the PFU team founded in 1980, winner of the second-tier V.Challenge League in 2009.

Tosu in Saga Prefecture — the team of the Hisamitsu pharmaceutical company, founded in 1948, SV.League champion in 2025/26, an eight-time V.League champion and eight-time Empress’s Cup winner.

Ageo in Saitama Prefecture — the club of the Ageo Medical Group, founded in 2001.

Ōtsu in Shiga Prefecture — the women’s team of the Toray group, founded in 2000, a four-time national champion (2007/08, 2008/09, 2009/10, 2011/12).

Himeji in Hyōgo Prefecture — founded in 2016 by Masayoshi Manabe, former coach of the Japan national team; winner of the 2024 Empress’s Cup.
