Belgorod — eight-time Russian champions, three-time Champions League winners and 2014 FIVB Club World Championship winners; they play at the 10,000-seat Belgorod Arena.

Moscow — a club founded in 1926 and the 2025/26 Russian champions; they play at the 3,500-seat Dynamo volleyball arena.

Sosnovy Bor in Leningrad Oblast — a club founded in 2004; it plays at the 2,500-seat Volleyball Centre.

Ufa — founded in 1992 as Neftyanik Bashkirii; in 2012/13 it took silver both in the Russian league and in the CEV Challenge Cup.

Krasnoyarsk — a club founded in 1993 whose best league finish is seventh place (2015/16, 2019/20 and 2025/26); it plays at the 4,100-seat Ivan Yarygin Palace of Sports.

Novy Urengoy — a club founded in 1984, winners of the 2006/07 CEV Cup and the 2016/17 Challenge Cup; it plays at the Zvyozdny Palace of Sports.

Surgut — a club founded in 1996 that was successively known as Gazovik and ZSK-Gazprom until 2007; it plays at the Premier-Arena.

Nizhny Novgorod — winners of the 2018/19 Higher League A and the 2016/17 Higher League B; their home hall seats 1,500.

Yaroslavl — a club founded in 1988 and known as Neftyanik until 2007; its best league finish is fourth place (1999/00 and 2000/01).

Kemerovo — a club founded in 2008, Russian champions in 2018/19 and winners of the 2019 Russian Super Cup; they play at the SRK Arena.

Novosibirsk — a club founded in 1977, Russian champions in 2019/20 and Champions League winners in 2012/13; they play at the 5,000-seat Lokomotiv-Arena.

Moscow — the club of Bauman Moscow State Technical University and the successor of the MAI and Burevestnik teams; Russian champions in 2000/01.

Novokuybyshevsk — a club founded in 1993 and known as Oktan until 2003; it plays at the MTL Arena in Samara and at the Oktan sports centre.

Orenburg — a club founded in 1983 that played as Neftyanik until 2024; it plays at the Olimpiysky sports complex.

Saint Petersburg — a club founded in 2017; it plays its home matches at the 7,120-seat Arena complex.

Kazan — Russia's most decorated volleyball club: thirteen-time Russian champions, six-time Champions League winners and 2017 FIVB Club World Championship winners.
